Natascha Thiara Rydvald has taken theatre photos of five mezzo-sopranos in 'Our Voices.'

The Royal Danish Opera writes:

Have you ever considered what it must feel like to stand on the stage in front of 2,000 people and sing? What it is like when your ‘sound’ is your livelihood? When your voice is crucial while you are onstage?

Our Voices is a unique evening that takes you very close to the Royal Danish Opera’s mezzo sopranos – singers who, over the years, have performed everything from Cherubino to Carmen, who have embodied roles as both girls and boys, young men, old wives, mistresses, queens and witches.

All singers who are onstage lay themselves bare to the audience, but in Our Voices, the singers open up even more than they usually would during an opera.

Our Voices is the creation of award-winning Kamilla Wargo Brekling (from Woman Know Your BodyUnaccompanied and last season Stand Firm at the Royal Danish Theatre). Together, Kamilla Wargo Brekling and the choreographer Karina Dichov Lund, conducted by Orsi Fajger, create a unique show about life as a female opera singer, their dreams and the importance of songs and music.

Spend the evening seeing star opera singers in a totally new light, while listening to the greatest and best songs from a wide range of famous operas, from Mozart to Wagner.
